Our team jumped right into laying out our shots for Acts I and II after we finalized the story in our previous meeting. We assigned shots to each member, prioritizing a few key shots and giving members preference over any shots they specifically requested. Our goal for the production pass was to complete the first version of our animatic that was fully in 3D, removing any storyboards and establishing a big step in our pipeline moving forward. I laid out two shots in Act I and one in Act II.

Our renewed animatic received praise for its visuals and some critical feedback on our process for assigning shots. The instructors recommended that we introduce another level of hierarchy into our pipeline, so instead of going straight from Act # to Shot #, we introduced Sequence #, which categorized shots into slightly larger units that we can assign to a team member and create much more consistent visual transitions between shots. It has been the greatest feedback to our pipeline this semester and we've been quick to adapt.
