After many months of revisions, I finally completed the extensive process of surfacing the interior of the painter's house. I heavily utilized two custom smart materials - one I designed for all the wood surfaces and one I collaborated on with Avery - and finally found a creative solution to give the floor and ceiling the wood plank effect. Fiddling with curvature histograms and other various parameters gave me some really integral insight into how to give edges and creases the contrast and depth they need.
I'll likely be re-surfacing a number of the major assets in the coming weeks with my newfound mastery of these smart materials, so they should receive a decent bump in quality.
