Story Intervention

Writer's picture: Aaron AsherAaron Asher

After the most recent production pass, our team decided to sit down for an extended meeting and flesh out the story for Act I and Act II. We identified a major issue where we had been tinkering with story beats endlessly without solving any holes in our story and made the call to review our animatic and make binary calls on what would be staying and what would be going from our story beats.

Every team member agreed that this was the most productive meeting we had designed yet, and agreed to have more of these strict, no-nonsense meetings when we need to take care of major issues with the project. We weren't able to get to the story for Act III, but we decided to maximize productivity around Act I and Act II, so we proceeded right onto laying out every shot in those first two acts.
